Лингвистические средства формирования образа мигранта в СМИ Великобритании

Аннотация

Статья посвящена изучению лингвистических способов формирования стереотипного образа мигранта в британской прессе. В ней представлен результат лингвистического анализа статей британских онлайн-газет и журналов на тему миграции и мигрантов за период 2017–2019 годов. Выбор материала исследования был обусловлен его актуальностью, доступностью, а также наличием широкого спектра используемых языковых средств. В ходе анализа была выявлена тематика публикаций о мигрантах, наиболее употребляемые лексические, грамматические и стилистические средства в репрезентации их образа, а также зафиксирован превалирующий стереотипный образ. Результаты исследования показали, что образ мигрантов в английской прессе неоднозначен, однако большая часть публикаций транслирует аудитории негативные события, связанные с ними, что вызывает у читателей чувство тревоги, негативно отражается на межнациональных отношениях и способствует закреплению в массовом сознании негативного стереотипа в отношении мигрантов.
