English language for people of the third age: Teaching experience of immigrants in Canada

According to statistics, the world's population of people of the third age is growing. Life doesn't end with retirement: many people stay active with the help of language learning, art classes, socializing and gaining new social skills. The article presents the Сanadian experience of teaching foreign languages to people of the third age The advantages and disadvantages of adult teaching are analyzed using the example of training centers in Toronto, Canada. The content of teaching English in a socio-cultural context is revealed. Aspects of education of immigrants of the third age are considered.
